Influenced by the geographical location and urban planning, many kindergartens in the old city often occupy a small area and have limited space for teaching activities. What should I do? It's a good choice to make full use of the stairwell.

. Through the development of "stair game", the park not only expands the space of teaching activities, but also effectively cultivates children's sense ability, cooperation ability and coping ability.

start: can the stairwell become a game ground

the kindergarten of Guangxi Education Department covers an area of 6514.95 square meters, including 1639.45 square meters of outdoor activity area and only about 4 square meters of outdoor activity area per student.

In this context, leaders and teachers have been thinking about how to further expand the space of teaching activities. In one discussion, people turned their eyes to a place that passed by every day but was ignored - the stairwell. Said Li Shuxian, kindergarten director of Guangxi Education Department.

The idea is there, but how to do it is a problem. At that time, we were faced with two major problems: first, there was little research on the development of "stair game" in kindergartens in the industry, and there was no ready-made case and experience for reference; second, parents may not support the work, and think that the stairwell is not safe, so it is not suitable to carry out the game.

"Stairwell is a challenging place, in fact, it has a very unique educational value." Li Shuxian said that the scientific game designed and developed here can effectively exercise the leg strength of children, improve the flexibility and coordination of children's body, and help children overcome their fear and enhance their sense of self-identity.

Although there is no ready-made experience to learn from, the park bravely decided to try. "At that time, there was no way to do both. We had to do it first." Zhang Wenli, then deputy director of the garden and head of the early stage of "stair game" research, said.

In this way, with the attitude of crossing the river by feeling the stones and trying to improve at the same time, the park has taken the step of exploration.

Exploration: let children participate in game development and design

You go ahead, I'll follow you "Then you have to clamp the ball hard." In the stairwell, the two children are playing up and down dribble. Only two people with two plastic sticks tightly grip a soft ball, carefully step by step down the stairs.

The two children played so hard that the ball didn't fall off. "They cooperated very well, indicating that the goal set by the game has been achieved." The instructor said.

Dribbling up and down is just one of the "stair Games". In the process of exploration, teachers not only develop themselves, but also consciously guide children to actively participate in the development and design of the game.

"Children's ideas are very many and novel. We are greatly inspired by their quasi air drop and paper plane games. " Teacher Huang Xiaozhen exclaimed.

And how to ensure safety; in the experience and verification stage, teachers and children experience all kinds of games together, and vote out games that are recognized as worthy of "staying".

Teacher Chen Liyun said. In the process of game research and development, the Park focuses on guiding children to make game plans, collect game materials, draw up game rules, and evaluate the game process, fully reflecting the autonomy of children.

At present, the park has developed more than 10 kinds of "stair Games" such as small ball drilling, relay passing, stone scissors, etc.
